Open Arms in Belle Fourche: A South Dakota Antelope Hunt

Five Soldiers from Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, and Oklahoma spent the weekend chasing pronghorn with a bow on the prairie outside Belle Fourche.

Five Soldiers from Nebraska, Missouri, South Dakota, and Oklahoma traveled to Belle Fourche for the 2026 archery antelope hunt, and the little town welcomed them with open arms and huge hearts.

Days went to glassing and stalking pronghorn across open prairie, some of it on horseback, and the evenings went to long tables and full plates back at camp.

Thank you to these Soldiers for giving us a chance to honor you for your service and sacrifice to this amazing country we call home.

South Dakota Game, Fish and Parks and Bass Pro Shops in Rapid City supported the hunt, along with the volunteers whose hospitality carried the weekend.
